C-Job has grown significantly in recent years. This is reflected in the size of the team; currently just over 80 maritime engineers and naval architects in the Netherlands and another 40 in Nikolayev, Ukraine.

In answer to this sustained expansion, C-Job has relocated its office in Joure to Heerenveen. “With capacity for just 15 people at the old office in Joure, we really were limited by space,” states Jelle Grijpstra, General Manager at the Heerenveen office. “At our new offices we have room for up to 50 people. This matches our ambitions for expansion.”

The increased working space means that Jelle will also be able to offer clients space for their own project teams. “As we have seen in our Hoofddorp head office, some clients prefer a separate space to work with their project team.”

The new offices have been designed along the same lines as the company’s head office in Hoofddorp. “We have the same ‘look and feel’ – and due to our investment in highly ergonomic desks and chairs, it is also a very comfortable place to work.”

Most importantly for C-Job’s clients is that the scope of work handled by the Heerenveen office is unchanged. “This includes the same naval architectural disciplines,” Jelle notes. “Creating Concept, Basic and Detail designs of all types of ships with, of course, the same levels of quality and dedication that we have always strived to provide.”

New management positions

The new office in Heerenveen is just one development relating to C-Job’s growth. Other recent examples include last year’s opening of its third Dutch office as well as the first international office in Nikolayev, Ukraine. Furthermore, with representatives working in the U.S.A, U.A.E. and India, the company is aiming to expand further in the international maritime sector.

In anticipation of sustained future growth, C-Job has also made some organisational and management changes. This includes appointing the following General Managers at each of its Dutch offices.

  • General Manager Hoofddorp office – Jeroen Liesveld
  • General Manager Heerenveen office – Jelle Grijpstra

The so-called ‘C-Job Group’ has also been set up. In addition to the Managing Director Basjan Faber, this includes the newly created positions of Technical Director, Head of Sales, and Head of Business Support.
