Lead Mechanical and Marine Engineer

As Lead Mechanical and Marine Engineer at C-Job, you have a great affinity with the whole maritime industry. You will coordinate all engineering work during the basic and detail design stage and will translate customer requirements into technical drawings and functional specifications as part of a project team.

You want to share your expertise with other professionals. Effectively organizing and planning activities is in your nature. You independently take actions and stimulate your team to get the best out of them and the project. You are pragmatic, structured and accurate in your work. You identify problems and take (immediate) action to solve them.

Our track record includes projects for dredging, offshore passenger vessels and yachts engaging with a wide range of both national and international clients. You will be responsible for delivering products on specification and on time to clients that are working in the range of our focus markets.





  • You are responsible for motivating your team
  • Translating customer objectives into realiable design solutions
  • Working proactively on continuous improvement, standardization and development of design rules
  • Reporting to the general manager or project manager – to update them on the progress of projects
  • Overseeing the design and coaching the engineers in creating the required engineering information
  • Ensuring designs for mission equipment are of high quality, cost-effective and comply with customer requirements
  • Leading a team of mechanical engineers regarding design, technical issues, and executing and planning projects
  • Ensuring that equipment is well integrated in the ships, and consulting colleagues from other technical disciplines frequently
  • Acting as the first point of contact for colleagues from other disciplines and departments, customers and suppliers during the design, production, commissioning and after-sales service

Skills / Experience

  • BSc and/or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • An innovative, stress-resistant and flexible approach
  • Knowledge and experience with 3D modelling software
  • An excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • A minimum of eight years of experience with large mechanical constructions
  • Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions
