Services we provide

Our services are suitable for both existing vessels and new-build vessels, and cover everything from EEXI compliance and improvement to propulsion optimization and repurposing strategies.

EEXI compliance

The IMO seeks to reduce carbon intensity of all ships by 40% by 2030, and all ships must now meet a minimum energy efficiency standard.

We can help you calculate EEXI values for your vessels and review any technical improvements you can make. In particular, thanks to modeling and simulations, we can help you avoid unnecessary downtime and the cost of further sea trials when recalculating EEXI values after making upgrades.

We work with all major classification societies, and can save you the time and cost of achieving EEXI compliance.

Energy management and decarbonization strategies

C-Job will help you develop comprehensive plans for reducing emissions and improving a ship’s
carbon intensity indicator (CII) and energy efficiency. We improve energy management using a best-fit mix of onboard technology, fuel choices, and operational measures to optimize your vessel’s performance. We also assist if you need to create a corrective action plan to show how a required CII index will be achieved.

Fuel, power and propulsion optimization

C-Job has specialist expertise in alternative and future fuels, including batteries, LNG, methanol, hydrogen, ammonia, and even nuclear power. Our broad knowledge means we are not limited to one solution: we help to guide your energy efficiency strategy and implement the best-fit solution for your specific vessel and business case.

Crucially, we have theoretical and practical experience of alternative fuels. We are actively applying their use in future-ready ships, including the first-ever ammonia-powered vessel, and we’re ready to support you with concept, basic and detail designs on alternative fuels for a range of vessels. Our risk-based design approach, which follows functional rather than prescriptive rules, also accelerates the design process for your sustainable ship.

Texelstroom – for TESO

To handle increased traffic between the island of Texel and Den Helder on the Dutch mainland, the ferry company Texels Eigen Stoomboot Onderneming (TESO) commissioned the Texelstroom ferry, choosing C-Job to deliver an innovative and sustainable design. The Texelstroom is the first passenger ferry to run on compressed natural gas (CNG), so C-Job applied our risk-based design approach for this vessel and also worked closely with regulators to ensure compliance.

Fully electric ferry – for Saronic Ferries

Based on our history and experience in electric ferries, C-Job was engaged to work on a fully electric, zero-emission 85-meter ferry for Saronic Ferries in Greece. This concept design required C-Job to balance optimized onboard energy usage with sufficient battery power to meet the electrical propulsion demands of a longer-haul ferry.

NH₃ Kraken – for Amogy

C-Job is helping to pave the way for a greener shipping industry as a knowledge partner for Amogy,a dedicated specialist in ammonia-based energy solutions. We helped integrate the company’s revolutionary ammonia-to-power system into the tugboat NH₃ Kraken, and supported onsite execution activities at the shipyard, including modernization, construction, engine removal, and other challenges.
