Customized mooring system for performance and sustainability
The Dr. Wagemaker navigates busy waters, and TESO saw the need for a new mooring system that would secure their ferry safely, while also reducing the environmental footprint of the operation.
To implement the system, C-Job engineered substantial hull superstructure fortification work to accommodate the added forces exerted by the mooring equipment. Our team meticulously designed the necessary upgrades, working closely with Damen Shipyards to implement the solution while minimizing downtime for TESO’s operations.
The new system allows for precise docking and reduces fuel consumption by up to 10,000 liters every month – reducing costs and the ferry’s carbon footprint, in line with TESO’s commitment to sustainable operations. The ferry’s enhanced fixing during mooring also increases safety for passengers and crew alike.
