With great excitement we are proud to debut our latest design, a brand new class of liquid hydrogen tanker that will revolutionize the renewable energy market.

We worked in collaboration with LH2 Europe to develop the ground breaking design. The vessel is a 141-meter-long tanker with a storage capacity of 37,500 cubic meters. LH2 Europe will use the abundant renewable electricity in Scotland to produce green hydrogen and transport the liquid hydrogen to terminals in Germany.

Dr. Peter Wells, CEO of LH2 Europe, says: “This tanker design is a key step in providing the infrastructure to make that clean energy future a reality. Current vessels in operation are not able to deliver hydrogen at the scale we expect will be required to meet the needs of the market”

The tanker will be able to deliver fuel for 400,000 medium-sized hydrogen cars or 20,000 heavy trucks in a single voyage.

The vessel is expected to be ready to make its first hydrogen delivery in 2027. To read more about this incredible announcement, click the link in our bio.

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock newest trailing suction hopper dredger being built at Conrad Shipyards is progressing as planned with the vessel being on track for an on-time delivery on Q1 of 2023.

This C-Job designed TSHD will be the first US registered, ABS classed, compliant with the USCG Alternate Compliance Program, and receiving a DR-68 reduced freeboard assignment. Having a DR-68 reduced freeboard assignment will allow the TSHD to increase its payload beyond its load line while maintaining an equivalent level of safety. The TSHD will be capable of dredging operations both in the US as well as internationally.

We are proud to be part of this realization for our clients in the US.

Who hasn’t imagined themselves lounging in the high-end, luxury interior of a superyacht? Our team at C-Job were keen to apply their creativity to this industry.

Using common dimensions of a superyacht, C-Job’s visualization and interior design teams have worked together to create incredible renders of how they would fill the space. Starting with a mood board of certain colors and materials he wanted to use in the space, C-Job’s Interior Lead Gijs Peters was inspired by Scandinavian and Japanese designs.

After seeing many similar designs in the industry, our team embraced more bold choices with their use of vibrant colors and intricate woodworks. The finished designs resulted in a totally unique and refreshing C-Job feel, which is functional as well as beautiful. Every aspect of the design was thought of in a practical way, as Gijs says: “At C-Job we want to create something which looks good, but is also feasible, not a fairytale.” With the knowledge that we have as an engineering company, combined with the experience of the interior department, our ideas are showcased in the luxurious designs seen here.

We have big news! Today we released the first design of a series of new cutter suction dredgers.

Headlining the series is a 34-inch, self-propelled, cutter suction dredger (CSD) that has a cutter power of 3500 HP and a total installed power of about 26000 HP. The CSD has two dredge pumps on deck and one dredge pump underwater, attached to the cutter ladder. The vessel can reach a dredging depth of up to 95 feet.

Thanks to the adaptive platform which underpins the entire series, shipowners can completely tailor the design to their needs. Todd Allen, our VP Business Development at C-Job, says “The new CSD series is a bold design that brings industry leading performance in a dynamic modular package. With advanced features like motion compensation and a wide range of options it demonstrates the start of what is possible with the C-Job CSD series.”

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is a transition fuel which C-Job sees as a key factor in moving towards a sustainable shipping industry. The use of LNG is growing, but there is a lack of bunker vessels to support this growth. This is why C-Job has created an initial design of a short-sea LNG bunker vessel.

The vessel is equipped with two LNG tanks, two deep well cargo pumps, and a boil-off-gas (BOG) management system. The shallow water hull shape optimizes the vessel’s use for minimum ballast operations. If you want to read more about C-Job’s LNG bunker design, check the link in our bio.

We are excited to announce that last week C-Job CCO @jobvolwater traveled to Finland to sign a contract together with Työvene. C-Job has been hired by Työvene to supply the complete design and engineering for a brand new maintenance trailer suction hopper dredger. The dredger is expected to be delivered to the client, Poland’s Maritime Administration, in just under two years and will be used to preserve the main waterway between the Gulf of Gdansk through the Vistula Lagoon to the Elbląg River.

There will be more details to follow, so keep an eye on our socials for updates on the project!

C-Job supported @concordiadamen with the design and engineering of a river cruise vessel for the German cruise company, A-Rosa. The ship is unique as it will have the largest passenger capacity for inland cruises with 140 cabins and four passenger decks for them to enjoy. In an effort to become more eco-friendly in the fight towards zero emissions, the ship makes use of a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion. The ship is currently under construction and is set to be launched in the spring of 2022.

In a step towards C-Job’s mission of a sustainable maritime industry within one generation, our engineers have designed a battery-powered, sea-going ferry. The ferry is optimal for completing multiple short journeys per day while charging her battery overnight at port. However, it can complete longer journeys with the use of generator sets. These generator sets have been carefully placed in a specific way that will allow for easy upgrades towards sustainable solutions that incorporate the use of flow battery storage or alternative fuels, such as hydrogen and methanol.

Furthermore, the ferry is designed as such that it meets the criteria to sail in coastal areas where it might encounter waves of up to four meters in height. She is double-ended which makes it easy for passengers and vehicles to get on and off of the ferry, without the vessel having to turn. The simple and compact, yet modern, design is perfect for sailing between small coastal islands and can easily move passengers and cargo, with space for up to 80 passengers and 10 semi-trucks.
