Explore a world of different C-Job projects for all vessel types, with a full range of C-Job services from design and engineering for new build vessels, modernizations and conversions, to future fuels and technologies that contribute to reducing harmful emissions.
Fully electric ferry – for Saronic Ferries
Based on our history and experience in electric ferries, C-Job was engaged to work on a fully electric, zero-emission 85-meter ferry for Saronic Ferries in Greece. This concept design required C-Job to balance optimized onboard energy usage with sufficient battery power to meet the electrical propulsion demands of a longer-haul ferry.
Read moreLNG bunker vessel
C-Job sees liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a suitable transition fuel for a sustainable maritime industry. However, since only a limited number of LNG bunker vessel designs exist, C-Job created an initial design concept to progress the needs of the industry. The vessel design can be scaled in many different ways, but is mainly intended for bunkering operations within a port, or serving as a short-sea LNG tanker.
Read moreC-Job CSD Series
The C-Job CSD Series is a flexible and adaptable concept design for mid-range cutter suction dredgers, with a dredge discharge diameter of 20-40 inches. The dredger design can be stationary, for use in the USA and other markets, or there's the option to have installed power up to 30,000 horsepower if a self-propelled dredger is required.
Read moreVox Amalia – for Van Oord
C-Job collaborated with Van Oord, a global leader in dredging and marine construction, for the development of the Vox Amalia, a trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) with a capacity of 18,900 m³. Van Oord provided the business case and operational requirements, while C-Job performed a feasibility study, concept design, basic design review, and detail design, and provided building supervision support.
Read moreAmmonia carrier
C-Job undertook research to develop a new concept design for an ammonia carrier fueled by its own cargo, based on our knowledge and experience of ammonia as an energy source. Our study shows that ammonia can be used as marine fuel if a number of safety measures are included in the design, and that its use can achieve a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions for maritime shipping.
Read moreTexelstroom – for TESO
To handle increased traffic between the island of Texel and Den Helder on the Dutch mainland, the ferry company Texels Eigen Stoomboot Onderneming (TESO) commissioned the Texelstroom ferry, choosing C-Job to deliver an innovative and sustainable design. The Texelstroom is the first passenger ferry to run on compressed natural gas (CNG), so C-Job applied our risk-based design approach for this vessel and also worked closely with regulators to ensure compliance.
Read moreDr. Wagemaker – for TESO
C-Job are proud to have collaborated with Texels Eigen Stoomboot Onderneming (TESO) to engineer a significant upgrade for its Dr. Wagemaker ferry. The project scope was to integrate a cutting-edge mooring system and reinforce the vessel's hull to accommodate the modernization, which would improve both operational efficiency and sustainability.
Read moreAtlantic Dawn Series – for CIG Shipbuilding
C-Job was responsible for the concept, basic, and detail design of the Atlantic Dawn series, a small fleet of 4400 DWT heavy lift vessels designed for versatility across multiple applications, such as transporting project and bulk cargo. Our work resulted in the construction of six vessels at CIG Shipbuilding in Poland, with the first ship in the series, Atlantic Dawn, being built for Hartman Shipping in the Netherlands.
Read moreSt. Pierre – for STX Lorient
C-Job developed the complete engineering package, covering concept, basic, and detail engineering phases for the 2,000 m³ hopper dredge St. Pierre. Designed for the STX Lorient shipyard in France, the vessel was specifically optimized for the challenge of extracting heavy coarse sand and gravel from deeper waters, further offshore, and often in heavy seas.
