Fishing vessels and workboats – for Padmos

C-Job has partnered with Padmos since 2015, completing many projects including new-build vessels. The company, which is based in Stellendam, The Netherlands, builds state-of-the art fishing vessels and pushers which are either diesel-electric or fully electric driven. This aligns perfectly with C-Job’s mission to design and develop energy-efficient vessels.
About the project

Expert engineering services and support on-site

Padmos constructs several different types of vessel, including flyshooters, shrimp trawlers, e-pushers, beam trawlers and others. Concept design for the ships is largely completed in-house, while C-Job brings a wide range of engineering services and expertise to the table.

Specifically, we provide feasibility studies and structural, basic and detail engineering for structural elements and hull piping for different vessels. This includes FEM calculations and refit detail engineering based on 3D scans.

On-site, C-Job provides a flexible support structure for the daily engineering needs of Padmos, and helps to develop new state of the art designs. Our engineers form part of the engineering team to increase capacity, and they bring a pragmatic and hands-on approach to the engineering challenges that Padmos faces. We work on multiple vessels each year, tackling diesel to diesel-electric refits, hull modernizations, creating or modifying accommodation, and much more.

Since both our companies strive to design and build the most efficient and sustainable ships, our partnership with Padmos is exceptionally strong and built on trust.

C-Job and LH2 Europe – liquid hydrogen tanker

C-Job has worked in partnership with LH2 Europe to develop an initial design for a liquid hydrogen tanker of 141 meters with a storage capacity of 37,500 cubic meters. The tanker concept is a critical element in realizing a green end-to-end liquid hydrogen supply chain.

Ammonia carrier

C-Job undertook research to develop a new concept design for an ammonia carrier fueled by its own cargo, based on our knowledge and experience of ammonia as an energy source. Our study shows that ammonia can be used as marine fuel if a number of safety measures are included in the design, and that its use can achieve a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions for maritime shipping.

Atlantic Dawn Series – for CIG Shipbuilding

C-Job was responsible for the concept, basic, and detail design of the Atlantic Dawn series, a small fleet of 4400 DWT heavy lift vessels designed for versatility across multiple applications, such as transporting project and bulk cargo. Our work resulted in the construction of six vessels at CIG Shipbuilding in Poland, with the first ship in the series, Atlantic Dawn, being built for Hartman Shipping in the Netherlands.
