Services we provide

Whether you require a simple update to your vessel’s plans or comprehensive engineering solutions, we’re here to help.

Hull design services

Our team can provide comprehensive support for naval architecture tasks such hull design, repair and maintenance, and outfitting solutions tailored to your needs – all according to current regulations and standards.

C-Job finite element analysis (FEA) engineers have extensive experience in structural and buckling analyses, and scantling calculations for ship hull structures. This includes the hull elements themselves, machinery integrations, complex equipment, plus global analysis and structural optimization of the hull. We provide basic design and 3D modeling which can then be further developed into detail design, production drawings and construction plans.

Global FEA

C-Job finite element analysis (FEA) engineers have extensive experience in structural and buckling analyses, fatigue checks, and scantling calculations for ship hull structures. This includes the hull elements, machinery integrations, complex equipment, plus global analysis and structural optimization of the hull. We can do this during any part of the new build or retrofit design process.

Conceptual machinery space arrangements

We develop conceptual designs and initial layout plans for machinery spaces, based on functional requirements, maintenance access, and operational needs. This ensures space optimization and compliance within design constraints, safety standards and for classification societies

Deck equipment

C-Job helps you integrate and install deck equipment of any complexity – including cranes, winches and bollards – for any type of vessel. We perform equipment calculations in accordance with classification society requirements, and use advanced software to ensure integration is completed efficiently and quickly.

Grillage integration

Our naval architects and engineers have extensive experience in providing calculations, designs and integration for grillage systems, which provide a safe and stable base for heavy or oversized cargo. We provide advice on the right solutions for your vessel, taking into account cargo type, weight and ship stresses, and use advanced software to create the most effective and compliant solution.

Sea-fastening design and engineering

Safe cargo transport at sea depends on thorough planning, vessel checks, stability calculations, and route assessment, with sea-fastening as a critical step in that process. From offshore wind components to heavy industrial modules, C-Job designs and verifies these structures, including grillages, stools, lashings, and stoppers, in line with MWS requirements, the IMO CSS Code, and class guidance.

With extensive project experience across a wide range of cargo types, we apply our vessel design expertise to tailor sea-fastening solutions to each vessel’s capabilities. Early involvement helps avoid unnecessary modifications and supports smooth approvals.

Statutory documentation

We can prepare and update stability booklets and safety plans for your vessel, ensuring compliance with the latest regulations and best practices, including the requirements of classification societies. This includes calculations for a ship’s intact stability, damage stability and hydrostatics, plus inclining tests and reports.

Green Jade – for CSBC

C-Job supported CSBC with basic design and main crane integration for the Green Jade, the first heavy lift and offshore wind installation vessel built in Taiwan. The vessel, which features a crane with 4,000 tons of lifting capacity and DP3 capability, was launched by CDWE, a joint venture between CSBC and DEME Offshore, and entered service in 2023.

Fishing vessels and workboats – for Padmos

C-Job has partnered with Padmos since 2015, completing many projects including new-build vessels. The company, which is based in Stellendam, The Netherlands, builds state-of-the art fishing vessels and pushers which are either diesel-electric or fully electric driven. This aligns perfectly with C-Job's mission to design and develop energy-efficient vessels.

Lorraine Hooks – for Mike Hooks LLC

C-Job completed the concept, basic, and detail design, plus systems integration for the 27-inch cutter section dredger Lorraine Hooks, for US dredging company, Mike Hooks LLC. We collaborated closely with SPI/Mobile Pulley Works (MPW) who constructed the dredge equipment in Alabama, and Southwest Shipyards in Texas, who built the vessel. The Lorraine Hooks was delivered to its owner in 2023.
